Welcome to the Sarasota and Bradenton mold remediation services website. This site is designed to provide useful information from real accounts of our services by our clients.
We pride ourselves in maintaining the most up to date in mold remediation techniques available today. The most important thing in this industry is keeping up with the ever changing market place of mold remediation products and services. Training and teaching our knowledge to the market place is considered a public service by many of our acquaintances, customers, relatives, friends, and yes even our competitors.
We are always looking for ways to cut cost to the consumer in all of our mold remediation jobs. You see mold remediations involve the removal of many building materials that can prove very costly upon replacement. In the restoration industry you do not re-construct or replace building material. You are to salvage any material you can and make what is salvageable ready for reconstruction.
At Service Master SRQ we do not do re-construction after our restoration jobs. In some instances we have been known to step in and manage other contractors for the home owner in this process but this usually only occurs in our Estate Services Line. In these instances the property owners usually live out of state or the immediate area and require our other services. It is important to know that in any instance when something is needed that all you have to do is ask and we will find a way to fulfill that need.
Today’s construction provides air tight efficient climate controlled environments. When ever you open a door to these environments you cause the existing HVAC system to work harder to process “new air” to the inside environment. Your air conditioner is the most important appliance in your home! If your system is not correct for the environment you are trying control you can have many different issues. So it is very important to have your HVAC inspected by a very good Air Conditioning Company.
Nowadays it is mostly math but sometimes the math does not add up and when it does you can experience hot and cold spots in the home. It is in the hot spots that moisture can collect and dangerous mold can grow. If your running your A/C at 80 degrees and humidistat at 70-80 or no humidistat…you will more than likely accumulate moisture and mold in your air handler. In these instances the residents should have the air handler inspected and cleaned 2-4 times per year as opposed to once per year.
If left unattended mold will grow in the air handler and distribute throughout the rest of the house through the ducting system of the HVAC. The ducts need to be cleaned periodically as well. I believe the industry standard is every 5 years. If mold is found in the air handler and the ducts have not been done in a while it is a good idea to get them done as well.
Remember in Florida if you leave your home for lengthy periods of time during the summer months your HVAC must have a Humidity control set for at least 60% relative humidity and is working properly. Your HVAC can not run enough to handle controlling humidity levels if not set up and running properly. All it takes is a few weeks or less of high humidity and unforeseen water intrusion to cause a major mold remediation need.
