It turns out that the week before the cable guy had been in the attic running new line and had stepped on and broken the AC drainage line.

Water had been running in between the walls and the drywall and insulation could not hold the water back anymore. It had flooded an entire room the carpet was soaked and the water was threatening to overtake the rest of the home if we didn’t act quickly.

We shut down the AC and called a company to come fix the busted drainage line. We then moved all of the furniture out of the flooded room. We quickly set up our flood pumper to remove the water. We then extracted the water from the carpet and then pulled the ruined carpet pad.

The area’s where the water was running down from the attic needed to be removed. We carefully cut out the drywall and bagged it for disposal. We placed plastic in the attic so the walls would dry more effectively. We placed fans and dehumidifiers to remove water from the wall studs and damp carpet.
