ServiceMaster SRQ uses the latest water damage monitoring equipment as shown in the attached photo.  This is a sill plate moisture reader that assist in reading moisture between existing baseboard and wet drywall. Sometimes we may leave equipment in for longer periods of time to prevent potential damages to paint, baseboards, and drywall from removal. There is always a potential to damage drywall, paint, and baseboards when materials are wet.  If the water intrusion is addressed in less than 24 hours it is possible to dry out without removal of baseboards limiting potential further damage.  In the event the drywall is not drying out within a specified time the baseboard is removed or cracked at a time when the moisture has subsided enough that removal won’t cause damage to the drywall or paint.
